The BBC have reported on a school in Wales that has been paying for electricity, food, trainers and even a bed for pupils' families struggling with rising bills.

In the article - Cost of living: School raises cash to help pupils' families - it is reported that the school has set up a community pantry scheme, to provide free groceries and household essentials to the local community. The school is also raising money for an emergency help fund.

The school's deputy head said that children cannot concentrate in school if they are dehydrated and hungry, or may not attend if they do not have soap to wash with or the detergent they need to clean their clothes.

Watch the video below to see how the cost of living crisis is affecting families and a mentoring scheme being used to combat the issues.
