World population simulation

A phenomenal resource and must use for the population topic is this world population simulator. Individual statistics for each country can be found by hovering over the country in question. Students can quickly figure out for themselves which areas of the world are adding to world population growth at the fastest and slowest rates. Students can see how rapidly world population increases over the course of a class. The developers have also produced a real time map of births and deaths for the United States and a google chrome extension for easy launch within the classroom. I found this resource in an article at theatlantic.com.
