We all feel good about recycling but have we ever considered what happens to our waste and where it actually goes to?
Most of our recycled plastic waste over the last few years has been sent over to China to be recycled. That is, until January 2018 when the Chinese government put a ban on importing plastic waste over fears for their environment. Other countries have since stepped in, including Indonesia and Turkey. What’s concerning is that as a nation we have no idea about the outcome for our waste. For more information on this story check out the following report...
