The importance of Geography

In an ever changing World, Geography has become the most significant subject around. In many occupations Geography provides the knowledge and skills to enable these jobs to be a success.I show the attached video to my classes when they are making their option choices and also to my year 10 & 11 when looking at the possible A-level options. Pupils need Geography to have a context; a reality, so that they see there is some point to studying the subject.

Many pupils don't realise the extent to which Geography can support them in their future careers and this video certainly opens up a discussion in class about how they can utilise their learnt knowledge and skills.
