Quality of living rankings

The Mercer 2015 quality of living rankings make for grim reading for British and Irish cities. Out of a total of 230 countries Dublin is the top ranked Irish city at 34th. The top ranked British city is London in 40th place, Birmingham 52nd, Glasgow 55th, Aberdeen 57th and Belfast 63rd.
European cities dominate the top ten with seven of the top ten most liveable cities in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Developing African economies are most likely to rank lowest.
