Pledge to reduce deforestation is failing.

An assessment of forest protection by NYDF has expressed concern that targets for protecting rainforests have failed.
The UN climate summit aimed to half deforestation by 2020, and stop it completely by 2030. Despite the fact that in some areas deforestation has slowed and there are areas of improved forest coverage; there is still a greater level of global deforestation. An area particularly at risk is West Africa, with DRC experiencing deforestation rates that have doubled over the last five years. For more information, check out the following report...
