Heathrow expansion plan causes conflict
2nd March 2019
The third runway at Heathrow has plans for the flight paths to be directly over Richmond Park.
Current flight paths do not go over the park but plans released during the consultation period show that should the third runway go ahead that flights could be as low as 300 metres. Up to 47 arrivals and between 17 & 47 departures would fly directly over the park. Concerns have been raised about the impact on the wildlife in the park with thousands of wildlife species being found there.
