Haiti - Inside Port-au-Prince: The Capital City Taken Hostage by Gangs

We are all aware that Haiti is the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere - with a turbulent history both in terms of the environment and politics.
In 2010 the capital city suffered widespread devastation in January when a powerful earthquake struck, resulting in the death of more than 200,000. More recently the country has experienced another powerful earthquake as well as hurricanes sweeping through. And of course the president was assassinated last year. It is a country where life is pretty brutal. And as gangs have taken control of much of Port-au-Prince, the future looks bleak for the inhabitants of the capital city.
