Create Online quizzes with Kahoot
1st November 2013
Kahoot is an easy to use online tool for creating quizzes and surveys. Students respond to the quiz using their own device (laptop, ipad, iphone, andrioid phone or PC) and you can collate the responses centrally on your device.
You create a quiz using the web interface. By dragging and dropping you create a multiple-choice style quiz, enter the options and select the correct answer. An image or video can also be added.
Once published, you can start the quiz, and display the start screen to the class. This gives the students the instructions on what to do next to access the quiz. Without needing an account, everyone in the room quickly joins through their laptop, phone or PC by typing in the code displayed at the start of the quiz.
The four answers are colour coded and have a symbol. The students will see these 4 colour buttons and symbol on their device and have to select the correct one. A time limit can be set for each question if you wish, and students can get more points by answering quickly.
After each question, the number of students answering each option is displayed on the your screen, along with the correct answer. If you want to, it can also show the class a leader board of scores.
