Climate Change by Numbers
1st March 2015
It's time to hit the record button: on Monday at 9pm on BBC 4 there is a one off programme looking at the climate change debate in a new way.
The show is called Climate Change by Numbers and is looking at the fact that despite the fact we have more information about climate change than ever before the public are increasingly unsure they understand what is happening.
The focus of the programme are three key numbers:
0.85 degrees - the amount the world has warmed since 1880
95% - the degree of certainty that scientist have that at least half the recent warming is man made
1 trillion tonnes - the amount of carbon we can afford to burn in order to avoid dangerous levels of climate change.
