Whistleblowing (Cartel)

In the context of a cartel, whistleblowing refers to the act of a member of the cartel coming forward to reveal the existence of the cartel and its activities. Cartels are typically formed when businesses agree to work together to fix prices, rig bids, or engage in other anti-competitive practices. These activities are illegal and can result in hefty fines and even criminal penalties for the businesses involved.

However, it can be difficult for law enforcement or regulators to uncover cartels without the cooperation of someone on the inside. That's where whistleblowing comes in - a member of the cartel who comes forward with information about the activities can help to uncover and dismantle the cartel. This person may receive protection and rewards for their cooperation.
