Royal Mint

The Royal Mint is a government-owned company that is responsible for producing the United Kingdom's coins. It has a history dating back over a thousand years, and is one of the oldest continuously operating mints in the world.

The Royal Mint is based in Llantrisant, Wales, and it produces all of the UK's coins, including those for circulation and commemorative coins, as well as coins for other countries. The Royal Mint also produces medals, medallions, and other products.

The Royal Mint is an independent government-owned company, it operates on a commercial basis and is self-financing, which means it does not receive any funding from the government, it is funded by the profits generated by its activities.

The Royal Mint is also responsible for the production and supply of coin blanks and uncirculated and bullion coin packs to other countries and it also offers gold and silver bullion bars and coins for investment purposes.
