David Ricardo
David Ricardo is best known for his theory of comparative advantage, which suggests that countries should specialise in the production of goods and services in which they have a comparative advantage, and trade with other countries for the goods and services they need. Ricardo's ideas had a major influence on the development of classical economics, and his work continues to be studied and debated by economists today.
