Poverty Action Lab

The Poverty Action Lab (PAL) is a research centre at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA that conducts field experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of various economic development programmes and policies aimed at reducing extreme poverty and improving the well-being of low-income individuals and households. The goal of PAL is to generate evidence-based insights that can inform the development of more effective policies and programs to reduce poverty and improve the lives of disadvantaged people around the world.
