Norway Model
The ‘Norway model’ refers to the relationship between the EU and Norway. Norway is a member of the European Economic Area (EEA) and accepts the four freedoms of the Single Market: Movement of people, services, goods and capital. Norway has no direct input into EU decision-making on the Single Market and pays annual contributions to the EU budget (but less per capita than the UK).
