Mohammed Yunus
Muhammad Yunus is a Bangladeshi economist and social entrepreneur who is known for his work on microfinance and the creation of the concept of microcredit.
He is the founder of Grameen Bank, a microfinance institution that provides small loans to poor individuals (primarily women) in rural areas of Bangladesh.
He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for his work with Grameen Bank and his efforts to create economic and social development through microcredit.
