Information Avoidance
A new concept in behavioural thinking. Sometimes, people avoid information, even if acquiring this knowledge would be to their own benefit. For example they might choose to ignore reviews of a car they have just bought or a hotel they have just booked because it might challenge a view that they have already formed about a product.
