Economic forecast
An economic forecast is a prediction of future events. Forecasts provide a structured way of assessing how a multitude of factors could combine for example to influence the rate of economic growth, inflation or the level of unemployment. The longer into the future the forecast extends, the greater the uncertainty in the forecast outcomes.
