Dominant paradigm

The phrase "dominant paradigm" is often used in economics and social sciences to refer to a set of widely accepted theories or models about how the world works. The "dominant paradigm" in a particular field is usually the prevailing way of thinking about a topic, and it can influence how researchers approach their work and how policies are developed. An example of a dominant paradigm would be the neoclassical model of economics, which is currently the mainstream approach to economics. However, dominant paradigms are not set in stone - they can shift and change over time as new evidence or theories are developed.
