Conformity Bias
Conformity bias is a cognitive bias that describes people's tendency to go along with the group and conform to the social norms of their group. This bias can be seen in all kinds of situations, from small groups to entire societies. For example, people might conform to the dress code at their workplace even if they personally dislike it, because they want to fit in and avoid being seen as an outsider. Conformity bias can have both positive and negative effects on decision-making. On the positive side, it can promote group harmony and a sense of belonging.
