Carbon Border Tax
A carbon border tax is a tax on carbon emissions attributed to imported goods that have not been carbon-taxed at source. The European Union is considering introducing a carbon border tax on goods imported into their single market by 2023 that would reflect the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions attributed to their production.
