Brexit
Brexit is the shorthand term for the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union (EU). The UK voted to leave the EU in a referendum held on June 23, 2016, and officially withdrew from the EU on January 31, 2020. From January 1, 2021 onwards, the UK and EU's economic relationship is now defined by the terms of the EU-UK trade and cooperation agreement
