In this update video we look at the surge in consumer price inflation in the UK economy.
UK inflation has jumped more than expected and to its highest level in almost a decade. Inflation is now more than double the official inflation target of 2 per cent. This is increasing pressure on the Bank of England to raise monetary policy interest rates.
