Here's a great activity aimed at introducing some of the key terminology and learning points required for students learning about Investment Bonds as part of their A Level or IB Economics course.
OVERVIEW
This resource has three sections:
- An introduction to investment bonds and the terminology useful to A level Economics students
- The 'Strong Bonds' game where players invest up to £10,000 on a investment bond portfolio simulation? Can you make a positive return on your £10,000 over a 5 year period? Try the game 2 or 3 times to see if you can work out the best way to maximise the investment money.
- A short multi-choice quiz on investment bonds that uses information from the terminology introduction and game content.
