This Edexcel Teaching PowerPoint covers Factors influencing Growth and Development.
There are many barriers to economic development for low-income countries. One of the biggest barriers is a lack of access to capital, or money that can be invested in businesses and infrastructure. Low-income countries often have poor credit ratings and may struggle to borrow money from the global financial system. Other barriers include low levels of education, lack of infrastructure, inadequate health care, political instability, and high levels of corruption. These factors can make it very difficult for a low-income country to improve its economy and raise the standard of living for its citizens.
