This teaching powerpoint for Edexcel covers Demography and Development.
Demographic factors like population size and age structure can have a big impact on economic development in low-income countries. For example, a country with a young population may have a large working-age population, which could contribute to higher economic growth. However, this same country may also struggle to provide enough education and jobs for its young people. On the other hand, an aging population can lead to lower economic growth as the workforce shrinks. Other demographic factors like gender inequality and migration patterns can also impact development.
