This teaching powerpoint covers Discrimination in the Labour Market
Discrimination in the labour market refers to the unfair treatment of workers based on characteristics that are not related to their job performance, such as race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, or disability. Discrimination can occur in any stage of the hiring process, from advertising a job to interviewing and hiring candidates. It can also occur after an employee has been hired, such as in the form of unequal pay or unfair treatment at work. This type of discrimination is not only unfair to the workers who are affected, but it also has negative consequences for the economy as a whole, as it prevents qualified workers from contributing to their full potential. It is a major cause of labour market failure
