Women and Economic Growth

This IMF clip highlights the important linkages between gender equality and economic growth - with Era Dabla-Norris highlighting the fact that women are under-represented in the labour market in general, and also in senior positions.
Increasing their participation will boost growth, not least because the diverse skills sets offered by men and women are complementary. However, there are fears that women are more vulnerable to being replaced by technology. Lots to ponder in a three minute clip.
