What worries economists in 2011

24th January 2011

Paul Solman of PBS attended the annual economics convention, held earlier this month in Denver. The main issues discussed amongst economists are that of household and soverign debt, the housing market, the return of 1937 and balancing of the budget - which ultimately led to a severe recession. Additionally there are some interesting comments about proposals being put together to reduce the budget deficit (as requested by the US Congress) but when the politicans got hold of them they were pushed aside. Well worth a look.
