Crikey! Lots of economics here: issues regarding labour market flexibility, inequality of wealth, the implications for the local economies concerned and so on. My only observation is that the buy-to-let market in London is driving house price rises there and without concerted attempts to tackle this going forward there will be real issues. And don't take my word for it: Kate Barker is also of that view...
