UK overseas aid failing to reduce poverty, report finds

Evidence if it were needed that overseas aid (ODA) isn't the developmental panacea that some claim it to be, with the One Campaign suggesting that the aid given by Britain - particularly by the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Foreign Office - isn't properly targeted. The UK is one of the few countries to meet the UN target of spending 0.7% of GDP on aid annually.
