Transport and Twitter

Jim Riley

11th October 2013

Every day I am searching the news for key articles relating to the beloved #f584 module and most days I am not disappointed. There is usually something in the news that I can tweet about regarding transport economics. Likewise, I am always on the hunt for other link minded transport tweeters. I try to use these articles in the classroom and give to my students when relevant. Although I am always encouraging them to *actually read* the news and find out for themselves about issues in transport, invariably, they don’t bother – ring any bells? This is my way of force feeding them so to speak; if they want spoon fed, so be it.

Below is a collection of some of the articles I have found since term started in September, ones which I have found particularly useful for the application of key theory, also helping with exam technique and past papers. Although the transport module is based on theory, having some ‘real life’ examples and visual application as well as the core theory, always helps gain those all-important A* Grades.
