The Cookie Monster and Behavioural Economics

Ahead of yesterday's tutor2u Teaching Behavioural Economics at A-Level CPD event in London, Jon Clark and I were discussing the benefits of using short film and TV clips to illustrate key theoretical principles in the classroom. This clip, from Sesame St, is a super example that can be used to illustrate a number of Behavioural Economics and Market Failure principles:

Ruth has been Subject Lead in Economics at tutor2u for many years after a career of teaching Economics, Business, Politics and Maths in a range of secondary schools. She is a highly experienced A level Economics Examiner, and also teaches undergraduate Economics on a very part-time basis at the University of Oxford.
