Tech giants power record surge in renewable energy sales

Vilify them as we might, the tech giants are the largest corporate buyers of renewable energy, with Google alone buying over 2.5 gigawatts.
Indeed, such is the extent to which they do this that their combined consumption is equivalent to that of an economy such as Vietnam or Poland.
So perhaps they exacerbate some problems as regards the increased demand for energy but you might also argue that they go some way to resolving them too.
