Sustainable development - How a Brewery in Ethiopia is Restoring a Watershed
8th October 2020
An example here of how the private sector can help sustainable development with the Raya Brewery in Ethiopia investing in restoring a community watershed, acting both in its own self-interest and that of the local community who had previously seen their access to water being threatened by a lack of care for the resource.
Evidence, if it were needed that sometimes self-interest and wider public interest can be allied - and a lovely example of a firm taking a stance on corporate social responsibility too.
