Supply and demand in action – the Year of the Rabbit

As man who dearly loved his childhood pet guinea pig, Fluffy, I was delighted to see that demand for rabbits has shot through the roof in China. They have become so popular that many workers are buying them for their superiors as New Year gifts! This is all down to 2011 being the Year of the Rabbit which is yet another great example of how factors other than price can affect demand for products.
