Reflections on using ICT to teach Economics

Geoff Riley

5th July 2010

I enjoyed my visit to the Trinity Group last Friday where I was asked to present my reflections on using ICT in teaching Economics. It was a chance to think about the bits of digital kit that I use on a daily basis and also to consider how best to take some more risks in using ICT. Our new Moodle-based VLEs in AS and A2 economics that are launched in August will be less resource heavy and more tuned to offering ways in which students and teachers can collaborate in their learning. Stronger use of quizzes, reflective blogs, different forum formats, collaborative software, and other exercises will be my main focus for content development during the summer.

My presentation materials are provided below in streamed and pdf handout format.
