Reforming Economics Education at University
24th February 2017
Martin Sandhu reviews some new books on reforming economics education in the universities. So much depends on how economics is taught both in schools, colleges and on university campuses. I am increasingly of the view that a pure Economics degree is less valuable than a joint-honours course where great synoptic connections between academic disciplines can be made. The world is a complex and messy place - we should emphasise more of the complexity and uncertainty in our teaching.
