Writing The Romantic Economist blog reminded me of another book that I have made fairly regular use of in my economics teaching. It is another book that bridges the gap between Economics and literature. The Literary Book of Economics was recommended to me by a colleague at an IB workshop in Athens just over 18 months ago. The book is full of passages of literature that have an underlying economic theme. The passages are divided into topic areas e.g. scarcity, money, trade etc.

I managed to source my copy from the US Amazon website. I can thoroughly recomend it as both a source of lessons and a different take on economic theory.
