Knocking at No. 11 - Lesson Starter to recap on major items of the Budget for March 2015
18th March 2015
Here's our annual engaging lesson starter to help recap on the major policies introduced by George Osborne as part of his last Budget before the May 2015 General Election. Use this to promote discussion and debate about his 'Comeback Country' budget. Can your students evaluate the impact of each policy they identify? Is it purely a fiscal policy or is it supply-side?
Called 'Knocking at No.11' the Powerpoint activity shows 14 policies on coloured doors on screen. Of these policies, 9 are genuine and introduced by Osborne during the Budget. The other 5 are untrue – they are generally a reversal of the real policy that Osborne suggested.
