Inward and Outward Thinking in 2017
15th January 2017
Perhaps this will be the defining difference in 2017 and beyond - it will certainly accelerate changes in the global centre of gravity!
I love this quote from Professor Danny Quah posted on his twitter account. "While some build walls, others still see gain in ever greater engagement and exchange across cultures and peoples."
Graham Watson notes:
As Prof Magnus Marsden, an anthropologist at Sussex University’s School of Global Studies, notes “This is the first train to the UK, but very much part of a new type of commercial route. The commodities are small. It’s not the big corporates who will be using this train, so it’s very much in the tradition of the Silk Road, giving opportunities for those who are in fact the inheritors of those ancient traders today.”
