Invitation to a lecture at RGS Guildford on Wednesday evening

Staff and A2 students who live in the Guildford area might be keen to attend a lecture at the The Royal Grammar School on Wednesday evening. The topic is rail privatisation; further details have been provided by Paul Bridges, Head of Economics there:

“A warm welcome is extended by RGS Guildford on the 21st March at 6:30pm as Graham Hampshire the Director of Stagecoach Rail will be coming to deliver a talk which draws on his years of experience managing the nation’s railway network. He will be covering the structure of UK rail industry, the performance to date since privatisation and looking at the finances of a train operating company and how they bid for franchises. He’ll conclude by examining how reality managed prediction and will take questions from the audience. This talk promises to be excellent preparation for anyone studying for A2 Transport and teachers are welcome to bring their students along, just drop Paul Bridges an email on p.bridges@rgs-guildford.co.uk

. There is parking around the streets of Guildford for free after 6pm and the talk should last approximately 80 mins.”
