I’m not shaving until the recession is over!

Lucky for me it already is - but the US teacher who vowed not to shave until Osama Bin Laden was captured or killed is my hero. He only imagined that it would take a couple of months at most but stuck to his word. He (and his wife) were delighted with the news this week.

The before and after photos tell the story. So next time the recession hits, which male economics teachers will join me in using an excellent visual teaching tool? Or perhaps you can think of some other less risky challenge that will engage your students. Perhaps “I won’t shave until the government reduces income taxes”. Your beard could end up just as impressive!
