I Daniel Blake

3rd March 2017
Ken Roach's immensely moving and powerful film I Daniel Blake provides a rich source of clips for the classroom. I for one will be drawing on it when discussing how we measure unemployment and the challenges facing people when making claims. It is a superb film and one that resonated with me even more strongly because of the setting (filmed on Tyneside) and two quite remarkable performances from Dave Johns and Hayley Squires.
