How the sharing economy is sweeping the world

The phenomenon of 'collaborative consumption' - where you rent things for limited time periods - is becoming increasingly popular. This Telegraph article looks at the extent to which it is prevalent across Europe, and the keenness of the Chancellor to embrace this model.
I enjoy looking at this sort of thing: it's quite an interesting thought experiment to think about the limits to collaborative consumption. Might you lease your school uniform in future, for example?
