Hitler Mash-Ups and the Credit Crunch

Bruno Gantz gives a spellbinding performance in The Downfall - a film that was released in 2005 and remains a remarkable and powerful movie even in DVD format. But one scene in particular has become the focus for a vast and growing number of mash-ups - using the original scene and dubbing commentary on entirely unrelated but often extremely funny scenarios - such as Ronaldo leaving Manchester United, Hitler being removed from Wikipedia for falsifying information - or in this case his reaction to the US sub prime crisis and the all-engulfing credit crunch.
