Fantasy Footie for Economists

Jim Riley

29th July 2011

It’s time for a little friendly competition and rivalry between Economics and Business teachers who’d like to participate in a Fantasy Football League for the 2011/12 Premier League season.

A league has been setup by some of the regular contributors to the Twitter #ecbusteach hashtag for Econ & Business teachers. Getting involved is very easy:

Just visit: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/ and

  1. Pick your squad: use your budget of £100m to pick a squad of 15 players from the Premier League. You can make as many changes (free transfers) as you like up to the first game of the season.

  2. Join our league: click leagues and paste in the following code: 81295-71990

  3. Pick your team each week: pick your starting 11 each Gameweek, choose your captain, and make transfers.

We’ll keep everyone updated on progress in the league, and perhaps throw in a few tutor2u prizes, as the league takes shape during the season.
