Experimenting with homeworks

Geoff Riley

22nd September 2010

Ruth Tarrant gave me a super tip last week when she mentioned that she was using TED talks as a resource with her tutorial group so I have shamelessly borrowed the idea for my new AS macro group! We haven’t done enough to set a really meaty macro essay (although last week they produced some lovely answers on winners and losers from the recession). So this week they will choose a TED talk (ideally with some business/economics link!) and then write about what they took from the talk. And to promote further independent learning I will ask them to do some research on the speaker and find a supporting article from the web on an issue of interest. I will blog about some of their responses and their chosen TED talks sometime next week.
