Ex-Pats and Students feel the pinch of sterling’s fall

There are over one million British pensioners living overseas and many thousands of UK students spending a year or more on gap years or as students at foreign universities. The sharp decline in the value of sterling against the Euro has caused a steep decline in the real purchasing power for these people and this article in the Telegraph outlines their plight. Such are the risks of having a fixed income measured in pounds.
