2nd November 2011

A Level Economics student Ashir Mir is an entrepreneurial sixth former who clearly has an bright future - and he’s been shortlisted for an important young persons award - the Ambition AXA Award.

Ashir, a student at Lancaster RGS, started his own music events company, Haus of Sound (www.hausofsound.org) last year - after winning an award in a national business competition. Since then, he has planned and organised three major music events in three different venues across Lancaster. Haus of Sound has become Lancaster’s main U18 nightlife provider, regularly bringing 250-400 customers.

Can Ashir carry off the award? The prize on offer is a considerable mentoring package which will help to boost his business and hopefully allow Ashir to get some valuable advice!
